We’ve got two wonderful events to share with you this summer as we welcome Devon folk singer Jim Causley to the farm.
Jim is a multi award-winning singer and songwriter, who has been associated with Halstow for several years through our arts and cider projects. Mojo Magazine called him the “finest singer of his generation” and we’re honoured to have had our very own wassail song written and performed by him over the last few years.
Songs in the Cellar
Saturday 9th July, from 7pm
£20 per person
Join us on this summer evening in our cider cellar for an intimate folk session with Jim Causley, and a tasty savoury supper. The first two glasses of Gray’s Devon Cider are included in your ticket price, which you’ll enjoy while Jim is singing. During the interval, a homemade supper will be laid out in the cellar, with both hot and cold options. Jim will be joined for a few numbers by fellow Devon folk singer Bill Murray, who’s been singing on Dartmoor for over 50 years.
Halstow Cream Tea Concert
Sunday 10th July, 3 – 5.30pm
£15 per person
On Sunday afternoon, Jim will play in our light and airy Granary whilst we provide a delicious Devon cream tea with cakes in the interval. There’ll be cups of tea to accompany your scones but cider is always available! You’ll be treated to two folk sessions as Jim sings to a select audience.
